The Cider Route of Salo

The Salo Cider Route introduces you to the world of authentic Finnish craft cider, different cider styles, production methods, and food suitable for drinking with cider. Along the route, you can visit four local cider houses.

You will experience the seasons in the gardens, from the intoxicating blossoming of spring to the apple-packed harvest season of autumn, see different cider-making methods from one production facility to another, and meet the cider makers themselves. You can buy cider directly from the producers or taste different types of cider on the spot.

You will also find shops with a good selection of ciders, as well as restaurants that know how to serve the perfect cider tastes.

The Salo Cider Route is a circular route that you can join from anywhere along the route. The route can be followed not only by car but also by bicycle.

Along the route, the charming ironworks villages of Teijo and Mathildedal and Teijo National Park are worth taking the time to explore.
