Leineperi Ironworks

Frei

Leineperi Ironworks is one of the best-preserved ironworks in Finland. Located in Ulvila, near Pori, the historic site offers peace, culture and experiences in a beautiful Satakunta milieu.

The ironworks flourished in the 1860s, when it was one of Finland's largest producers of wrought iron. At that time, Leineperi produced and refined pig iron for a variety of uses.

Today, Leineperi ironworks is one of the best-preserved and most complete ironworks areas in Finland. For example, the area contains one of the three blast furnaces preserved in Finland. The ironworks' numerous buildings are located in a uniquely beautiful river landscape, intertwined with the Leineperi village settlement and lush nature.
