Loimu is a small hotel by the shore of Lake Ylläsjärvi in Ylläs. It’s easy to arrive here — and easy to settle in.

We have seven rooms, each one unique in its own way. In our restaurant, food is made with care and time in mind, and everyone is welcome to dine with us — even if you’re not staying overnight. Loimu also has a cosy lodge room, where you can sauna, eat, spend the evening, or host a small gathering in peace.

Saunas are an essential part of Loimu. Our smoke sauna, sauna cabin and jacuzzi bring warmth and rest whenever you need it. There’s no need to “do” a holiday here or fill your days with plans. Everything is ready if you feel like it — and if you don’t, that’s perfectly fine too.

And when the dark nights return, the sky begins to move. The northern lights may appear above Lake Ylläsjärvi — quietly and unexpectedly, right when it’s their time. There’s no need to chase them. Just pause and look up.

Loimu's public sauna sessions are on Fridays. There are two time slots:
5:00–7:00 PM or 7:00–9:00 PM.

During the public sauna sessions, all three saunas are heated: the Pirtti sauna, the smoke sauna, and the barrel sauna. 
Cool off with a refreshing swim in Lake Ylläsjärvi. Everyone is welcome!
Bring your swimsuit and your own towel.

Places must be reserved in advance via our website. 
The sauna fee is paid at the time of booking.
Upon arrival, it is sufficient to check in at the restaurant cashier.
