Ahveninen wilderness cabin in Kylmäluoma
Ahveninen is a traditional log-built wilderness cabin located in the Kylmäluoma hiking area, on the peaceful shore of Lake Iso-Ahveninen. Here you experience true wilderness – no electricity, no neighbours, just forest and water.
The cabin accommodates up to 6 people and consists of one room with a large shared sleeping platform. Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove.
The kitchenette includes a gas stove (no oven), and equipment includes:
tableware and cooking utensils
duvets and pillows
Guests must bring their own bed linen and towels.
There is no electricity, and lighting is provided by candles. Water is carried from the lake, and drinking water must be brought along.
There is a cellar in the yard, and a separate wood-heated sauna by the shore. An outdoor toilet is located behind the cabin.
At the lakeshore you will find:
a swimming area
a rowing boat and life jackets
a campfire site
fish smoking equipment
The cabin is remote with no nearby neighbours and is ideal for fishing, hiking and hunting trips.
Pets are allowed, and there is a doghouse on site. Smoking inside the cabin is prohibited.

Note:
Wilderness cabins are more modest than holiday cottages. The cabin is not preheated, and guests are responsible for cleaning.
Access:
Reachable by car in summer; in winter approx. 10 km by ski or snowmobile.
