2 Hour Husky experience - 10km Husky Safari & Farm Visit
Experience the joy of a husky-pulled sledge ride through the Arctic wilderness!
Join us on a thrilling safari as you learn the secrets of husky mushing and ride a sled pulled by a team of six energetic Alaskan huskies. The ride lasts approximately 45 minutes and covers 7–10 km, depending on the snow conditions.
After the adventure, visit our small, privately owned husky farm — Pyhä Husky Farm — nestled deep in the wilderness. Warm up in a cozy hut with a cup of steaming berry juice while listening to heartwarming stories about our lovable huskies..
All our dogs are professional Alaskan Husky race dogs. Alaskan husky is an English term for a type of sled dog that is primarily bred for performance, speed, and endurance rather than a specific breed standard. They are a crossbreed and are the most common type of dog used in competitive sled dog racing.
Key characteristics of Alaskan huskies
Bred for work: They are selectively bred to be high-performing sled dogs, a mix of different breeds selected for their stamina, speed, and ability to work in a team.
Not a purebred: Unlike a Siberian husky or Alaskan malamute, the Alaskan husky is a mixed-breed dog that is not officially recognized by any major kennel club.
Physical variation: Their appearance can vary widely, depending on the specific lineage and intended use (e.g., sprint vs. long-distance racing).
Temperament: They are known for being energetic, hardworking, and having a strong pack mentality, which makes them well-suited for working in groups. They need a lot of exercise to be happy.
