Tall Ships Races Helsinki 2024

The annual Tall Ships Races, an international competition for thousands of young people, takes place in the Baltic Sea every four years. The purpose of the event is to promote the education and cooperation of young people through a joint sailing event, regardless of nationality, cultural background, religion and social background. It brings to the city dozens of large and impressive sailing vessels with their crews, around which a large public event is built. Helsinki will serve as one of the race’s host ports from 4–7 July 2024, and the event is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors to the city. The event area is in the immediate city centre, the area of ​​Eteläsatama, Kauppatori, Katajanokka, Kanavaranta and Pohjoisranta.
