The World of Trails Tour

The World of Trails is an open-air museum area of ​​the Finnish Migration Museum, where the information and stories of currently four buildings, all from different countries, are collected. The buildings come from Finland, Australia, Canada and Russian Siberia. You can tour the area with a guide or just explore it on your. You can also go inside each house and find items and furniture that originally belonged there. The attraction is meant for anyone interested in the history of migration, life between countries or finding out more about their roots.

The Finnish Migration Museum, founded in 2006, documents and presents the history and present day of Finnish migration, immigration and emigration and the lives of migrants throughout the ages and around the world. Each house in the World of Trails is built and furnished in its own unique way depending on the time built and original location.

The Migration Museum has both permanent and temporary exhibitions. Some of the exhibitions and artifacts are located in an office building, less than two kilometers from the open-air museum area. The museum organizes seminars, educational events and other occasions and parties, for which the World of Trails offers a wonderful setting.
