Welcome to the Wild Clay Planter Pot Workshops at UDUMBARA_Helsinki Studio!
Are you ready to embark on a creative journey that connects you with the Finnish Earth and your inner artisan? The pottery wheel workshop offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the age-old pottery craft, guided by Eva Spoof, a professional ceramic artisan.
The classes are open to adults and teens (15+) of all skill levels. Tuition includes all materials, up to 6 kg of locally sourced Kultela clay, expert guidance, planter pot trimming, cleaning, and firing for two planter pots per person,.
Your Connection to Finland:
When you work with Kultela wild clay, you're embracing 100% local materials and a genuine piece of Finland. At UDUMBARA, you're supporting ethical and environmentally conscious craftsmanship. Our commitment to ethics goes beyond clay. UDUMBARA Pottery utilizes solar choice energy to power the studio and kiln, reducing the carbon footprint associated with pottery-making.
Artist-Run Pottery Studio
Established in 1994, UDUMBARA is run by a professional using 100% local Kultela wild clay from Ojala fields. This natural raw clay gives the products a deep, earthy character that reflects Finnish nature. UDUMBARA combines craftsmanship with contemporary design, and they look forward to sharing this experience with you.
Shipping Information:
UDUMBARA can send the finished products to you by post, with shipping costs based on your location. Alternatively, choose a small UDUMBARA planter pot as an immediate memory of your visit. Please note that finished pottery takes a few weeks to a month to be ready.
