Explore the stunning fell landscape of Pyhä-Luosto National Park with a guided hike to the Luosto Amethyst Mine. Dig for your own amethyst at this unique mine, located atop Lampivaara Fell. A perfect blend of adventure and nature in the heart of Lapland! From June to November, you can hike to the Amethyst Mine along a picturesque trail in the scenic Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The mine is situated atop Lampivaara Fell, approximately 400 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the Lapland landscape in every season. To reach the mine, you'll ascend about 150 steps to the top of Lampivaara and descend 63 steps into the mining area.

The highlight of the tour is the opportunity to dig for your own lucky amethyst—a truly unique experience! Our knowledgeable local guides will accompany you throughout the journey. The trip includes a 1.5-hour drive from Rovaniemi to Luosto.

After the mine visit, we’ll unwind by a campfire, where we'll grill traditional Finnish sausages and enjoy warm, spiced glögg—a traditional Finnish non-alcoholic drink.
