Snowmobile Safari to a Husky Farm with Husky Safari - Rovaniemi

After receiving the winter adventure gear we go for the snowmobiles and listen to a short briefing for safe driving. We drive in a queue by snowmobiles traversing snowy landscape crossing lakes and rivers and climbing up the hills following our guide who knows the ways. Once arrived to the husky farm we have a little break before another great experience – husky driving safari in the wilds. During this 30 min safari we may drive ourselves at least 10 kilometers. On the half way we may – if wanted – swap the driver and the passenger. During the safari we will also sit by open fire and barbeque our lunch which includes something for all tastes. The first snowmobile was created during the 20th century. With the shape of a sledge, it was intended for work to drive over snow and icy roads where other vehicles were not able to go. As stronger and faster vehicle it quickly replaced the sled dogs as a modern mode of transport. Nowadays, snowmobiles are mostly used for recreation.
