Guided Tour in Historical Liminka

Join us on a 1,5 h walk through the almost 550-years-old village of Liminka!

Original farmyards, the vicarage, the stone school and the museum Aappola bear witness to the long history of Liminka, which has once been the central parish in the region of Oulu. Stories about the village and its inhabitants bring Finland’s past to life.

On the tour you'll hear about the famous vast meadows of Liminkas's flatland area, meet historical persons, artists as well as old peasant families, and you and will even find out, how on earth sheep did set up a primary school!
