Aarnikämppä wilderness cabin in Kylmäluoma

Aarnikämppä is a traditional log-built wilderness cabin located in the peaceful surroundings of the Kylmäluoma hiking area, on the northern shore of Lake Kylmäluoma. Here you experience true wilderness – no electricity, no neighbours, just forest and lake.


The cabin accommodates up to 6 people and includes a main room, a kitchenette and a separate sleeping room. There are two bunk beds in the main room and one bunk bed in the bedroom. Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove.


The kitchenette includes a two-burner gas stove (no oven). There is no electricity, and lighting is provided by candles.


Equipment includes:


tableware and cooking utensils

duvets and pillows


Guests must bring their own bed linen and towels.


Water is carried from the lake, and drinking water must be brought along. The lake water is not regularly tested, so boiling is recommended.


There is a wood-heated sauna in the same building.


At the lakeshore you will find:


a pier and swimming area

a rowing boat and life jackets

a campfire site

fish smoking equipment


There are no neighbours nearby, making the cabin ideal for fishing, hiking and peaceful time in nature.


Pets are allowed, and there is also a doghouse on site.


Location: Kylmäluoma hiking area

Capacity: max. 6 persons

Facilities: basic equipment, no electricity or running water

Sauna: wood-heated


Note:

Wilderness cabins are more modest than holiday cottages. The cabin is not preheated, and guests are responsible for cleaning.


Access:

Reachable by car in summer; in winter approx. 10 km by ski or snowmobile.
