War History in Kasarminkangas in Miettilä

Military history of Rautjärvi is focusing in Kasarminkangas in Miettilä. The Kollaa and Simo Häyhä Museum operates in the area (not free visiting). The traditional local museum of the municipality is moving to the "Kuntala" which is gointo to be renovated. Museum will be as a part of a small military history center to be opened later. MiettiläKollaus is a traditional summer event in the area. Kasarminkangas is on the shores of Lake Vekarusjärvi and there is also a small public beach in the area.
