Welcome to visit the home museum of the third president of Finland. We are located surrounded by the beautiful Finnish lakeland nature.

Kotkaniemi is a home museum that introduces the life of P. E. and Mrs. Ellen Svinhufvud and the everyday life at the Kotkaniemi estate in Luumäki. The rooms of the home museum have been restored to the era of the Svinhufvuds (1920's-1930's) by using the original furniture and items. While getting to know the museum you can also visit out museum garden and café.

The museum and café are open during summer time.

Guided tours in English can be booked in advance throughout the year.
