The story of a pioneer in the gas industry

The Woikoski Factory Museum illustrates the historical development of the gas industry, which plays an important role in Finland.

Woikoski Oy is a fourth-generation family business and a pioneer in the gas and chemical industries. The global gas industry was originally founded by twelve companies. Woikoski is one of these twelve founding companies, and, in this group, one of only six that are still in the ownership of their founding families. Today, there are approximately 60 companies in the gas industry, and Woikoski Oy is the only Finnish one. The company’s roots are in Tirva, Kouvola, and it arrived in the location of its current headquarters, Voikoski, as early as 1917.
