Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is an actor in the art field keeping up with contemporary times. Kunsthalle Seinäjoki features individual and group exhibitions, from Finland and internationally, coordinates the City of Seinäjoki’s public art, and produces a diverse array of other activities. New developments of contemporary art, the unique exhibition spaces, and urgent questions arising from the surrounding countryside and the urban-rural interface, act as a broader context for the curatorial practices at Kunsthalle Seinäjoki. The interests stem from both the present-day and historical aspects of the building and the surrounding area, while asking what the countryside means for the future, locally and globally. The Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is located on the Western coast of Finland in a town with 64,000 inhabitants. Kunsthalle Seinäjoki is part of the cultural facilities of the City of Seinäjoki. 

Kunsthalle opened its first exhibitions in the renovated spaces of the Kalevan Navetta Art & Culture Centre in March 2020. Kalevan Navetta provides a number of services to the visitors; restaurant Äärellä, Taito Shop, an art rental shop Parsi and conference services – all under one roof.
