Iikoski wilderness cabin near Hossa National Park

The Iikoski wilderness cabin is located near Hossa National Park, by the Iikoski rapids, offering an authentic off-grid experience in peaceful natural surroundings. This traditional log cabin is ideal for those seeking simplicity and a close connection to nature.


The cabin has two rooms and a sauna in the same building, with sleeping space for up to six people in three bunk beds.


Heating is provided by a wood-burning stove, and cooking is done on a gas stove (no oven). A traditional cellar is located under the kitchen floor.


The cabin is off-grid with no electricity or running water. Utility water is taken from the rapids or the lake, and drinking water must be brought along. Drinking water can also be refilled at the Hossa Nature Centre.


Outdoor facilities include a dry toilet, a rowing boat with life jackets, an outdoor fireplace and a smoking box.


Location: Iikoski, Hossa

Capacity: max. 6 persons

Facilities: stove, gas cooker, sauna, boat

No electricity or running water

Suitable for: anglers, hikers, wilderness stays


Note: Not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Smoking indoors is prohibited.


The cabin is accessible by car all year round.
