Silverskär restaurant

On our main island Silverskär we prepare and cook all our meals. We offer a distinctive culinary experience in the hear of Åland achipelago. At Silverskär, meals are an essential part och the stay, crafted using ingreditons sourced directly from local farmers, fishermen and small producers!


All food follows the Axgan philosophy, meaning it is produced or processed on Åland. This includes dry‑aged grass‑fed meat prepared in Silverskär’s own butchery, as well as fish caught in the surrounding waters. Bread is baked with organic flour from Överängs Kvarn, and herbs and vegetables are gathered from the wild or grown in the island’s own kitchen garden.


Our chefs serves everything from traditional homemade dishes to high‑quality à la carte offerings, with menus guided by the rhythm of the seasons and inspired by Åland’s culinary heritage.


Our signature dish, Pärta, is always served as the opening course of our three‑course menu. Staying true to its origins, we present it on a traditional pärta – a wooden board – just as it was enjoyed in the old archipelago homes. Each board includes 3–4 small flavour bites inspired by the tastes of Åland, highlighting locally sourced ingredients and traditional techniques that define our region’s culinary heritage.


What sets Silverskär apart is the exclusive island experience: each guest group enjoys the entire island privately, creating a serene, nature‑immersed atmosphere that enhances the culinary journey!
