Kindergarten Visit

Welcome! City of Oulu is a prominent provider of high-quality education in Northern Finland. We have 84 early childhood education and care centres (kindergartens) in Oulu.

During the kindergarten visit you will hear introduction about the centre, walk a tour, and observe the daily life and teaching. You may also have a session on a specific topic upon request in advance. The program and the content depends on the duration and the theme of the visit.

Duration:

- possible from 1 hour to 6 hours, most popular is 2-3 hours

Theme:

- Default theme: Finnish Early Childhood Education

- Or upon request, for example, STEAM, Outdoor and Sustainability Education, Emotional and Safety Skills

Visits are possible:

- between August and mid-December, and

- between mid-January and mid-June,

- except during holidays around Christmas and Easter, and public holidays.

Booking:

- Visits are possible with a prebooking only. Kindly send an e-mail (eduoulu (at) ouka.fi) with the date and time request, group size, and possible theme request. Also, let us know, if your visit is especially focused on the architecture.

- Price is per group. Fixed price for groups of 1-20 participants, based on the duration of the visit.

- Bigger groups are possible with an additional fee. If needed, we can divide the group into two kindergartens.

Available with a separate fee and prebooking:

- Lunch at the kindergarten, and/or

- coffee/tea, and/or

- snacks.

- Pricing is per person.

Kindergarten visits are conducted in English (or Finnish). The group may have an interpreter with.
