Pispala is perhaps the most beautiful part of Tampere: colourful wooden houses scattered all over the steep ridge with roads, gardens and stairways snaking in between. Enjoy the view down from the ridge to the lakes Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi, or take in the whole Pispala ridge from the southern lake. In Pispala you can find e.g. a museum for the Finnish writer Lauri Viita, Rajaportti, the oldest public sauna still in use, Café Pispala and Pispalan Pulteri restaurant.
