For this package we bring you to one of Finland’s favorite summer locations: a traditional Finnish summer cottage (mökki). Important to the identity and culture of Finland, the summer cottage offers a break from city life and an opportunity to reconnect with the forests, lakes and streams that have become indelible symbols of our proud, Nordic nation. It is here where we offer our guests a genuine, Finnish summer experience; including a variety of Finnish yard games such as mölkky (skittle scatter), tikka (darts), kroketti (croquet), sulkapallo (badminton) and more. Nestled along the shore of a forest lake, this summer cottage with a beautiful yard is the perfect setting for a small, family getaway. Swim in the cool water, soak up the sun’s warm rays, or go rowing and fishing together! This secluded location also offers another truly Lappish experience: the kota. The Goahti, or kota in Finnish, is a traditional hut where you will grill sausages, roast marshmallows, and enjoy every Finn's favorite, fire-side treat: lettu (crepes)! Bask in the serene silence, enjoy the secluded privacy, trek through the picturesque forest, and make the best of our Finnish Summer Favorites! If desired, this product can also be expanded and extended to include a sauna experience, at an additional cost.
