Basecamp Oulanka is a lovely complex of wooden buildings providing comfortable and cosy accommodation in a stunning location overlooking Lake Juuma and backing onto Oulanka National Park, situated in a remote, wonderful, unspoiled wilderness.

Basecamp Oulanka is located next to the southernmost part of the Oulanka National Park, along Finland's most popular hiking trail, the Karhunkierros (Bear's Trail). The Pieni Karhunkierros (Little Bear Trail) day trail lives and pulsates around us. Kitkajoki river with its canyons and rapids draws us to adventures and offers delightful nature experiences all year round.

Our two log hotel buildings have a total of 18 rooms. The smaller rooms on the ground floor have direct access to the surrounding nature. The larger upstairs rooms have their own balcony and a spacious loft with the possibility of extra beds for families or groups of friends.

With us you spend your night in the peace of nature in the middle of the forest, without light pollution or traffic noise. There is no television, radio or minibar in the rooms - your living room will be the cozy hall of our main building or the charming lakeside fireplace lounge.
