A history museum with exhibitions on the history of Satakunta and Pori.

The Satakunta Museum is a historical museum in the city center of Pori by the river Kokemäenjoki. The museum was established in 1888 and is one of the oldest historical museums in Finland. The collections include over 80 000 objects.

Satakunta Museum presents the history of Satakunta province and the city of Pori. The main exhibition Elon merkkejä (Signs of life) offers an experience-laden journey to life in Pori and Satakunta from the Stone Age to the present day.

The Museum is also home to lectures, concerts and other events. Satakunta Museum is Tourist Informationpoint during the opening hours.
