Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän is located next to the Linnansaari national park in Rantasalmi. In Järvisydän, maids and farmhands of the house serve the guests Savonian experience packages around the year with accommodation, feasts, sauna and nature programmes. There are written records of the house all the way back from the year 1658, so there are stories to tell for several days’ worth.

10.00–10.45 Begin the new day the Opera Festival day in Satamapuisto (next to hotel Tott)
The Savonlinna Opera Festival will be welcoming the start of each new opera day at 10.00 every morning during the Opera festivals. Program in Finnish but it is highly recommended to take a look of this unique event.
Free time to have a walk in the city, visit Sulosaari Island, have a tour in the market place / visit some handicraft ateliers
11.30-12.30 Handicraft Workshop at Runodesign
In RunoDesign workshop you can make a keychain or name tag from natural leather. Leather stripes will be decorated by stamping your own text (e.g. your name) with letter punches. RunoDesign is producing unique ecological ragrug bags and baskets from upcycled materials, and the keychains of this workshop are made from left over material from bag making.

14.30–15.30  Guided tour at Olavinlinna Castle (walking distance away from the harbor)
15.45–16.15  Visit to Riihisaari – Lake Saimaa Nature and Culture Centre and Old steam ships
Riihisaari is home to the exhibitions of Savonlinna Provincial Museum and Saimaa Nature Exhibition centre run by Metsähallitus which also provides hiking information. The Provincial Museum concentrates on the history of South Savo and particularly on preserving, studying and presenting the history of sailing on Lake Saimaa. During the summer the unique steamships moored at the museum are open to visitors.

The Kuhmo Arts Centre offers a great variety of high quality congress space right in the city centre of Kuhmo. The Lentua hall and Pajakka hall also offer facilities for 99 – 668 people. The woodworks of the uniquely beautiful Lentua hall were crafted by local carpenters. Restaurant Juttua of Kuhmo Arts Centre organizes pleasant afternoon tea accompanied with chamber music for attending groups. Restaurant Juttua offers Kuhmo Arts Centre – offers small snacks.

Transportation to the Russian border to the base camp for the exciting wildlife programme at Wildlife Finland. After arrival to lodge an early dinner at the lodge followed by information about the exciting photography overnight tour. Transfer to the specially designed hides, where we look for bears, wolverines and wolves as well as different birds, woodpecker, eagles and black kite.
