Bus transfer to Luosto
Luosto is a small village about 110 North from Rovaniemi. It is located in the heart of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. The unique fell chain between Pyhä and Luosto comprising 12 fell-tops covering 35 km is a breathtaking sight. In the summertime, the Pyhä-Luosto National Park is a hiker’s paradise. It contains a total 150 km of marked routes, from which visitors will find one to suit their fitness lever or mood.

Amethyst mine on top of Lampivaara hill is located in the immediate vicinity of the Luosto recreation centre, in the middle of Lapland’s beautiful landscape. The sustainable Lampivaara Amethyst mine is possibly the only gemstone mine in the world that welcomes visitors. The mine at the top of the hill introduces you to the fascinating world of gemstones. You will hear stories told for millennia, and get to dig for your own lucky amethyst, that has waited 2000 million years to be found.
