WHAT IS THE SUSTAINABLE TRAVEL FINLAND LABEL?

To help the tourism industry in Finland to adopt sustainable practices, Visit Finland has developed the Sustainable Travel Finland programme. The programme is designed for Finnish tourism companies and destinations to develop more sustainable practices.

The participants that have undergone the STF programme and fulfilled the criteria, get the Sustainable Travel Finland label. So, when you spot a destination or a company that has the Sustainable Travel Finland label, you know they take sustainability seriously. And don’t worry – the companies and destinations will also be audited regularly.

Outdoor Passion Finland is located in Rukatunturi, Kuusamo. We operate in Ruka Ski resort, Kuusamo and the Land of National Parks. All our activities are adventure based and non-motorized, in the pure northern nature and wilderness.

Eat Shoot Drive

We offer our guests an opportunity to stay in a traditional log cabin apartment with an already reduced carbon footprint. Our apartments are Green Key certified, meaning that we run our rental operations with sustainability in mind, and that our processes have been audited and certified by an independent party. Additional services: Photo shoots for your personal Lapland experience for couples/families wishing to bring home special holiday memories. Shoots can involve a snowshoe hike/other activities for a deeper experience. We plan each shoot together to capture your ideas.
