Words in Woods

Words in Woods is a day trip in swampy Patvinsuo National Park that combines hiking with creative writing. This journey is an opportunity to dive into a creative process and to strengthen the connection to yourself and nature.

During this hike, you get space to express yourself by writing, beyond right or wrong. The inspiring landscapes of Patvinsuo National Park, experienced through your open senses, will be the source for your creative process. On our ten-kilometre hike through vast marshes and mystical pine forests, ECHO ENTERS will guide you through exercises that help you to get in touch with your inner writer. Mostly we will walk in silence to fully observe and absorb our surroundings and their impact on us. This trip is, above all, a journey to explore yourself, but we will also engage in exercises with a pair and the group.

Words in Woods offers a special opportunity to capture Finnish nature in a way that you may not be used to. Welcome to embrace the new and let different facets of yourself surprise you. This trip is also suitable if you have no experience with creative writing or expressing yourself creatively.

We will have a lunchbreak around the campfire halfway along the route. Please bring your own lunch. ECHO ENTERS offers tea/coffee

and traditional Karelian pie.

Level of difficulty: Easy, trail length is about 10km. Modified trail length during winter and for accessible service. In winter time we hike with forest skis.
