Teurastamo is a vibrant hub of urban and food culture in Helsinki’s Kalasatama district. The former slaughterhouse now houses interesting restaurants as well as unique small-scale producers: an ice cream factory, a bakery, a distillery, a coffee roastery, an art gallery, and shops. The heart of the area is an atmospheric courtyard open to all city residents, offering a diverse lineup of mostly free events this summer.
