Secrets of Salmijärvi - canoetour with Pehtoori

On the Northern parts of Nuuksio National Park is lake Salmijärvi. This lake is situated near a cozy cafe Pohjoinen Pirtti. Salmi Manor estate manager called Mr. Pehtoori takes care of the premises and customers. 

On these premises there used to be a manor which was owned by a wealthy man, producing iron nails to construction sites. As he was normally out from his manor, taking care of his factory Koskensaaren Oy. He had to have a field manager to take care of the fields and servants. This manager had a special name "Pehtoori".

Now you will have the opportunity to come to a canoe tour with him. Pehtoori will guide you around the village and the lake on a canoe tour.

This tour will be provided by the local estate manager, Mr. Pehtoori. We will have the opportunity to paddle with a canoe on the lake while Pehtoori tells you about the history of the manor, the people who have lived here and what kind of family-related tragedies have occurred.

We will also have the opportunity to have lunch at the Pohjoinen Pirtti cafe on request.
