Grandma's Stable Day family package

Welcome to explore Leskelän Mummon Hevospiha (Grandma Leskelä's Horse Yard), which offers families the opportunity for a peaceful and relaxing day in an authentic traditional rural setting, with stories dating back to the 1600s. Today, the farm is Grandma Leskelä's own kingdom, where she cares for her rescue friends and those enjoying a peaceful retirement. In the summer, the farm features a summer café and a warm-hearted petting zoo.

How it all began...

"Once upon a time, there was a girl who spent all night reading horse books and dreaming of her own horse. A noble, black steed with which she would gallop along the seashore. The girl also loved cats, dogs, sheep, chickens, pigs, and all furry creatures and hoped to one day own half a kingdom filled with all sorts of cute animals. Of course, she also dreamed of her prince charming. The girl grew older, found her prince, and was almost a grandmother when she remembered her childhood dreams. Together with her prince, she bought half a kingdom—an old, dilapidated house that looked like a castle to her nearly grandmotherly eyes, and a fine royal stable, which was actually an old stone barn. She also found a noble steed, the sweetest little pony in the world, and two chickens and began to realize her dream..."

Private Grandma's Stable Day family package includes a guided farm tour where you can meet, pet, and feed the animals, as well as a guided pony care session and a pony carriage ride for the children. At the same time, we'll share stories about the farm's history, tailored for children.
