Kukkula serves as the main youth centre of Konnevesi, hosting afternoon and evening activities organized by the municipality, the parish, local associations and young people themselves. The programme includes clubs, themed evenings, discos and various youth events, making it a lively hub of social life.

The ground floor features a relaxed recreation area equipped with PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, table tennis and billiards, a TV room, disco space and kitchen — everything needed for spending time and having fun with friends.

Upstairs, the band room and Studio Kukkula provide a creative environment for music and media production. The studio can be used to record band demos, CDs and theatre sound effects, and in the future it will also support video editing and digitization projects.

Beyond its current role, Kukkula holds a special place in local history — it is the original school building of the Lapunmäki campus, once central to the development of education in Konnevesi. Today, it continues that tradition as a vibrant youth space where creativity, friendship and community come together.
