Rental Sauna in Teijo National Park

Experience a traditional Finnish sauna in Teijo National Park!

The sauna is located at the prime location of Teijo National Park, on the shore of Lake Matilda. Near the sauna you will find the parking lot in the National Park, the Nature Centre and an equipment rental shop. Several hiking trails start from the area, and you can easily explore the area's nature before your sauna session.

The wood-built sauna sits on a beautiful nature spot at the Matildanjärvi lakeshore. In addition to the electricity-heated hotroom, the sauna building includes a separate shower room with running water, a locker room and a terrace with a magnificent view over lake Matildanjärvi. The sauna can fit in 6–8 persons at a time, and on the terrace there are seats for 10 people.

There's a public swimming spot with a sandy beach in the lakeshore beside the sauna. A refreshing swim in the lake after sauna is definitely a part of the traditional Finnish sauna experience.

Use of the sauna

The sauna is self-service. You can access the sauna with the lock code that comes with your booking message which starts one hour before the start of the booking. Each booking includes a heating time if the previous shift is not booked. You will receive further instructions as soon as you make your reservation.

The sauna shift is always for six people. Additional persons 5€ / person.

Sauna rental does not include towels. Towels can be rented from Teijo Nature Centre during its opening hours.

The sauna is located in a popular spot in Teijo National Park - please be aware of other visitors to the area and always wear a swimsuit when on the terrace and when swimming.
