Vuolteentori is located on one of the prime spots in the city centre, on the riverbank at Ratina. The square is surrounded by the Koskikeskus shopping mall, Verkaranta Arts and Crafts Centre and, on the other side of the water, the Kehräsaari area and its restaurants, shops and cinema. In the summer, one of the sunniest restaurant terraces in Tampere can be found on Vuolteentori.
