Huittinen Museum
The Huittinen Museum is located in a culturally and historically valuable area next to Huittinen Church. The impressive stone granary is full of things to see for both history and art lovers.
The museum offers a diverse and rich collection of artifacts that provide insight into the local peasant culture. Exhibitions dedicated to President Risto Ryti and sculptor Lauri Leppänen showcase the life's work of these two great men who were born in Huittinen.
Themed exhibitions showcase the craftsmanship of weaver Siina Rinne, the ITE art of Hugo Kivinen, and a collection of over 600 knives, among other things. The highlight of the exhibition on prehistory is an accurate replica of an 8,000-year-old moose head carving. The Huittinen moose head is one of the most famous animal head weapons found in Finland.
