Experiences in Tyrnävä

1. Tyrnävä in a seed pot

On the walking tour, we get to know the history and cultural life of Tyrnävä. Magic, ghosts, priests, cheese masters and cultural influencers come alive in local stories. On the way from Tyrnävä church to Meijerikatu, we also look at the current way of life, which is still firmly bound to the countryside - and the rest of the world - by the potatoes.

2. Snowshoeing in Tyrnävä

A fantastic and easy way to enjoy the pure nature of Tyrnävä area is on snowshoes. Breathe fresh air and listen to the silence! Warm up at the campfire and enjoy hot beverage and a small snack. If we are lucky, we might catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

3. On Meijerikatu and the Mill Library

We get to know the transformation of a unique industrial environment: Tyrnävä Dairy who once grew into one of the most important cheese factories in the Nordic countries, the unique Mill library and the other buildings, which have been preserved in the early 20th century.
