Pyhä-Luosto is an area comprising two fell resorts in Lapland, located only a 90-minute drive north of Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle.

The unhurried atmosphere, genuine Lappishness and modern tourist services make Pyhä-Luosto a pleasant entirety. Pyhä and Luosto are located close to one another, and visitors can easily use the services of both resorts.

Pure Lappish Nature

Travellers in Pyhä-Luosto enjoy the nature of Finland’s southernmost fell range in a national park setting. Well-maintained cross-country and downhill skiing conditions are Pyhä-Luosto’s main attractions.

Another feature drawing visitors is the only amethyst mine in Europe that is open for the public.

Exercise and serenity

Pyhä-Luosto’s Nordic Fitness Sports Park has almost a hundred kilometres of routes and varying levels of difficulty for Nordic walking and mountain biking in spectacular landscapes. You can also follow the routes to explore the Pyhä-Luosto National Park.

Film and music events

Numerous summer events are arranged in Pyhä-Luosto. The Aittakuru Gorge Theatre and the Ukko-Luosto Concert Hall built into the Luosto slope offer settings for cultural events difficult to find elsewhere. Events in the area include the Midnight Sun Film Festival as well as the Pyhä Unplugged, Luosto Classic and Ruska Swing music events.
