Unique archipelago hotel combines nature and luxury

The Barö opened its doors in June 2021. It is an ecologically built, high-class archipelago hotel in the Barösund region of Inkoo, in the heart of the world’s most magnificent archipelago. The diverse and unique archipelago of the Gulf of Finland, pure nature, the sea, old trees and local stories dating back to the Viking Age entices visitors from the very first moment. The buildings are architecturally stunning and respect the sensitive nature there. The surrounding nature together with the available selection of diverse activities and services create a unique experience combining nature and luxury.

The hotel has 12 rooms with wooden walkways, while seven more rooms are coming by end of 2021. Atop the Hycklesund cliffs, there is a south-facing spot for sunbathing and a sauna by the beach. Restaurant with 40 seats, The Berg, offers classic Nordic cuisine with a modern twist. The Barö is less than an hour from Helsinki airport and city centre. Barösund / Orslandet guest harbour is located on the neighbouring island of Orslandet that visitors can get to on a ferry that runs every 20 minutes.

Holiday Club Vierumäki Hotel opened in summer

Holiday Club Vierumäki is located in Lahti region in Lakeland area. It is a dream resort for those who gain well-being and strength from comfort and physical activity. The excellent golf courses and opportunities for numerous sports are now supplemented with much more. Among the conference services, the hotel has 190 rooms, a high-quality restaurant, a refreshing Day Spa with relaxing treatments, tennis court and free gym. The Spa and Sauna World will be opened in 2024.

Holiday Club Vierumäki is ideal for meetings, conferences, events and parties of all sizes. The Conference World boasts a large banquet hall for up to 500 people for celebrations. For conferences, the capacity is for up to 350 guests in theatre style and 270 guests in classroom setting. The banquet hall can be divided into smaller spaces with partition walls. In addition to this, the hotel has 11 conference rooms. The maximum capacity is nearly 800 guests.

Levi resort is ready for World Cup alpine season

World’s best slalom skiers are soon again in Levi, a lively resort in Lapland. The Levi World Cup will come to the fell November 19-21. Levi is hosting two women’s slalom races for the second year in a row. Skiing season started already on October 8th in Levi due to great snow storage. This is the fifth winter when Levi Ski Resort stores snow on front slopes together with Levi Black racing slope. So again, this year, excellent skiing conditions in Levi winter wonderland are guaranteed.

Finland, Lapland and World Cup Levi have gathered together a great amount of international spectators via various channels. Last year the event reached over 250 million viewers and this year the odds are even higher. Levi is ready to produce a top scale TV production around alpine skiing, exciting race events and snowy Lapland. Stay tuned and follow the event through their site and social media.

The giant renovation of Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel is complete

Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel in Joensuu, at the shore of river Pielisjoki has gotten a new spark. The hotel, with 237 rooms, is located in Northern Karelia, area known for its hospitality, in Lakeland region. It offers now fully renovated spaces, hospitable service, delicious food and the buzz of the Karelian lifestyle, located near nature experiences. You can spot an otter couple dive into the river when having breakfast, take a walk or a run by the river or enjoy dinner made by masters of the kitchen and at the end of the day fall asleep in the arms of comfortable beds.

The hotel’s meeting wing has eight meeting spaces, which can be divided into smaller spaces or combined into a one large meeting space for up to 600 people. The main event space is Sirkkala ballroom, which overlooks river Pielisjoki. Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel also enables events for up to a 1000 people when combining all the event spaces.
The hotel has been awarded Green Key.
