Welcome to our Happy Hour Party!

Did you know, that Finns are the happiest bunch in the world this year! Finland topped the 2018 Global Happiness Report, published by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network. The report ranks 156 countries by happiness levels, assessing factors such as life expectancy, social support and corruption.

The Nordic countries have dominated the index since it was first published in 2012. Therefore, we too are celebrating Nordic Happiness and wish you warmly welcome to our party held in IMEX at our stand F260 on Wednesday May 16th at 17.00–18.00.

What would you do with 24 h daylight?

Summer in Finland is a spectacular time of the year. It isn’t endless, but there are almost endless summer days.

The white summer nights are perhaps Finland's most iconic natural phenomena. For those who venture north of the Arctic Circle, the sun does not set at all from May to August. In the southern parts of the country it is never really dark either, just a period of twilight for a few hours.

When nights are almost as light as day it is possible to do all the same things that you would do during the day. The greatest difference comes from the incredible change in the nature of the light. Make use of it and go canoeing, fishing, island-hopping or play a round of golf in the wee hours. Team building games are as much fun during white nights. Think about arranged wildlife excursions and encountering a real bear!

Famous music festivals take advantage of the endless summer nights, offering a choice of jazz, blues, rock, opera and chamber music. Dinner prepared outdoors on a barbecue is an incredible experience when the temperatures soar high and the sun does not set at all. A nocturnal swim and sauna is a definite must under the Midnight Sun.

From the beautiful coastal islands to the ever-present forests and lakes everywhere and anywhere, in Finland the nature is always nearby, even with the largest of cities. But, should you still wish to go clubbing and stay indoors, be warned – getting out of a dark nightclub at 3 a.m. can be a bit confusing, as it feels more like 3 p.m. You wouldn’t be the first to swap sleep for an after party on the beach – in full sunlight, of course!
