The Finnish National Opera is an opera and ballet company operating at a high international standard on a nationwide basis. The Opera puts on performances six nights a week from August to June: opera and dance, recitals by renowned vocal soloists, and orchestral concerts. There are also free matinees, events for kids and teens, and briefings where audiences can meet production teams. Café Opera and the exhibitions on display in the foyers are also open during the day.
