18:00-19:30 Manor House Buffet Dinner
During the dinner, Kaisankoti Manor House’s services and premises will be presented. After the dinner it is possible to enjoy a Nature Bath under the velvety autumn sky with a few practices to wake the body and mind to sense the Finnish nature. Silence, darkness and breathing the fresh autumn air offer an invigorating nature experience.  After the nature experience there is a chance to make some stick buns by open fire at Kota, a Finnish hut. Optional evening swim at the hotel’s candle-lit pool, dip in a Jacuzzi or a traditional Finnish sauna or steamroom.

The objective of the design of facilities and activities has been to promote the development and diversification of human well-being and the realisation of pluralism, sustainable development, multiculturalism and internationalism

• Learning about ecosystem’s services: Nature supplies us with food and raw materials. Our culture, recreation and health is based on nature
• Participating in outdoor biology class and nature observation skills
• Interviewing teacher who is Pedagogy Director for summer school

Lappeenranta and Imatra region is located near the Russian border only 200 km from Helsinki in the heart of Lakeland Finland. This is the place where tourism in Finland has started at the historical site of the Imatrankoski rapids

11:30-13:00 House of a Thousand Tales – site inspection and lunch
The House of Thousand Tales gives you an opportunity to stay in genuine beautiful countryside with accommodation, breakfast and different kinds of activities. Local food, sauna, domestic animals and natural well-being. A favourite place for Finnish school camps (audited as a Finnish school camp destination by Natural Resources Institute Finland: “learn life in the countryside”)

14:00-14:45 Olkkolan Hovi in Savitaipale – site inspection
The Olkkola mansion has been housed during three centuries by priest and official families, The Fabritius, Heintzius, Platan and Fagerstöm families. The current main house is built in 1906. Today the premises offer accommodation, restaurant services, different activities and saunas by Lake Kivijärvi, which is one of the purest lakes in Finland

15:15-15:45 Old town of Lappeenranta the Fortress area
Surrounded by the ramparts, this historic district represents the original town which was founded in a medieval trading centre during the Swedish regime in 1649. Graced with a fascinating history, magnificent scenery and a myriad attractions, the Fortress is today a popular tourist destination

16:00-17:00 Home visit at a local home in Lappeenranta
Local people want to share their homes with international guests and show them the Finnish way of life. Experiences can include baking blueberry pie together, picking mushrooms or berries from the forest, or playing together with the Finnish children

17:00 Transfer to Rauha

17:30-18:30 Angry Birds Activity Park in Rauha Lappeenranta
The Angry Birds Activity Park has even 2.400 square meters space for visitors to play in. On the first floor there is an area for the youngest children, and for the older children 500 square meters jungle gym area built by Lappset. In the Angry Birds Activity Park you can also find the Angry Birds movie theater as well as ranges for pedal cars and zip wire

For many years, we have relied on the South Savo food culture and clean raw materials acquired from local producers. We acquire our meat from a private small butchery, fish from local fishermen, vegetables and root vegetables from nearby farms. The berries and mushrooms we use are also picked from the clean nature of the Saimaa area

21:00 Traditional Finnish sauna by the lake Saimaa
Smoke saunas are the original traditional saunas that have become a quite rare and treasured in Finland. They provide a mystical “löyly” – a combination of heat, steam and athmosphere, and are highly prized by sauna aficionados because of the deep relaxation it delivers. “Löyly” in smoke sauna is very getle and soft, not dry at all. From the smoke sauna you can go for a swim in the refreshing lake Saimaa!

Lakes Saimaa and Luonteri are located in Southeastern Finland. At approximately 4.400 square kilometres it is the largest lake in Finland. One of the most famous residents of lake Saimaa are the engandered Saimaa Ringed Seals, a freshwater seal that only lives at Saimaa. With 120 lakes and 14000 island, the area I guide people, Saimaa, is the fourth largest freshwater area in Europe and selected among the Worlds’ most beautiful lake areas by the Wall Street Journal in July 2014
