Experience an authentic reindeer encounter just 30 km from Helsinki.

Nuuksio Reindeer Park is the southernmost place in Finland where visitors can meet reindeer in a peaceful forest setting. The private reindeer park is located in Nuuksio, right next to Nuuksio National Park, offering a unique opportunity to experience one of Finland’s most iconic animals also in Southern Finland.

The reindeer park is open all year round. Regular public opening hours are mainly on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Private visits can also be arranged at other times upon request.

During your visit you can feed the reindeer with their favourite food, lichen, and observe them up close in a calm forest environment. You can also enjoy a cosy moment by the fire in the atmospheric White Reindeer kota, where traditional Finnish campfire coffee (or tea/juice) and freshly baked cinnamon buns are served. If you wish, you can also bake a traditional Finnish stick bun over the open fire.

At the end of your visit you can explore our small souvenir shop, where you will find locally made products including items crafted from reindeer antler as well as other Finnish souvenirs.

The fenced reindeer park is located in rocky forest terrain. Wide wooden boardwalks lead from the parking area to the feeding area, but there is a small rocky slope, steps and a handrail along the route. Unfortunately, the area is not fully accessible.
