World’s purest air with breathtaking views. Breathe the world's purest air and experience the vastness of the fell landscapes around you. The versatile trails of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park take you easily to open fell tops and cosy campfire sites. Spend an active and relaxing holiday enjoying Lapland's natural wonders and friendly services.

The hard quartzite fells are what remains of the three-billion-year-old mountain range - Svekokarelids. The many millennia of ice ages have worn them down to the gently rounded, easy-to-traverse fells they are today. National Park protects the fells of Western Lapland, extensive forest and marshlands, as well as unique flora and fauna.

In nature conservation areas, everyman's rights do not apply in the normal way. Please always check the rules of the destination before making your trip. National parks are nature reserves, whose key task is to safeguard biodiversity and enable people to enjoy and relax in nature on the terms of nature conservation.

All national parks in Finland are managed by Metsähallitus.
