Snowshoe Trip to Oulanka National Park

This snowshoeing tour invites you to experience magical winter nature in Oulanka National park. After getting equipped at the safari office, we drive by car to a place called Juuma, in Oulanka National Park, which is known for its impressive landscapes and waterfalls. Here we go exploring the national park by snowshoes. The route takes you through the snow covered forests and a guide will share stories of the characteristics of the area’s flora and fauna. On the way you will see the beautiful Myllykoski rapids with a hanging bridge above it. With good luck we will see the White Dipper diving into the open water in search for food or Siberian Jays flying in the trees. Hot chocolate with sweet pastries are offered by an old mill.

Altogether walking distance is 2 km on an easy terrain. This short snowshoeing trip is perfectly suitable for families with small children as well.
